Executive Order 1 — Gov. Jay Nixon designates members of his staff to have supervisory authority over departments, divisions, and agencies of state government. (Jan. 4)
Executive Order 2 — Gov. Jay Nixon gives the director of the Department of Natural Resources the authority to temporarily suspend regulations in the aftermath of severe weather that began on December 22. (Jan. 6)
Executive Order 3 — Gov. Jay Nixon extends Executive Orders 15-10, 15-11, and 16-02 until February 22, 2016, due to severe weather that began on December 22, 2015. (Jan. 22)
Executive Order 4 — Gov. Jay Nixon orders all departments, agencies and boards and commissions in the Executive Branch subject to the authority of the Governor to take all necessary action to amend initial employment applications by removing questions relating to an individual's criminal history unless a criminal history would render an applicant ineligible for the position. (April 11)
Executive Order 5 — Gov. Jay Nixon directs the Missouri Department of Public Safety, with guidance from the Missouri Veterans' Commission and the Adjutant General of the State of Missouri, to coordinate events with the federal World War I Centennial Commission to recognize the efforts of all Americans during World War I. (May 27)
Executive Order 6 — Gov. Jay Nixon will name the next Missouri Poet Laureate in June 2016 and directs that a Missouri Poet Laureate be named by the Governor biennially thereafter to serve for two years. To make recommendations to the Governor for the appointment to the post of Missouri Poet Laureate, Gov. Nixon creates the Missouri Poet Laureate Advisory Committee. This Order supersedes Executive Order 09-28. (May 27)
Executive Order 7 — Gov. Jay Nixon declares a State of Emergency and activates the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan due to severe weather that began on May 25. (May 27)
Executive Order 8 — Gov. Jay Nixon orders state offices to be closed on Friday, November 25, 2016. (Oct. 24)
Executive Order 9 — Gov. Jay Nixon orders state offices located in Cole County to be closed on Monday, January 9, 2016, for the inauguration. (Dec. 23)
Executive Order 10 — Gov. Jay Nixon reauthorizes the Governor's Committee to End Chronic Homelessness until December 31, 2020. (Dec. 30)
