Executive Order 2 – Gov. Jay Nixon orders the Honor and Remember Flag to be flown at the State Capitol each Armed Forces Day, held every third Saturday of every May, to commemorate and honor the fallen members of the Armed Forces of the United States. (March 20).
Executive Order 3 – Gov. Jay Nixon designates members of his staff to have supervisory authority over departments, divisions, and agencies of state government. (March 20)
Executive Order 4 – Gov. Jay Nixon declares a State of Emergency and directs the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan to be activated due to severe weather that began on April 2. (April 3)
Executive Order 5 – Gov. Jay Nixon declares a State of Emergency and directs that the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan be activated due to severe weather that began on May 10. (May 11)
Executive Order 6 – Gov. Jay Nixon orders the Division of Energy to be transferred from the Department of Natural Resources to the Department of Economic Development and orders that the Division of Energy lead a statewide initiative to develop a comprehensive State Energy Plan. (June 18)
Executive Order 7 – Gov. Jay Nixon establishes the Disparity Study Oversight Review Committee to develop appropriate recommendations designed to increase the participation of women and minority business enterprises in state contracts. (July 2)
Executive Order 8 – Gov. Jay Nixon declares a State of Emergency, directs the Missouri State Highway Patrol to maintain order in the City of Ferguson, and imposes a curfew in the City of Ferguson. (Aug. 16)
Executive Order 9 – Gov. Jay Nixon activates the state militia in response to civil unrest in the City of Ferguson and authorizes the Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to maintain peace and order. (Aug. 18)
Executive Order 10 – Gov. Jay Nixon terminates Executive Order 14-08 and Executive Order 14-09, both of which were related to civil unrest in the City of Ferguson. (Sept. 3)
Executive Order 11 – Gov. Jay Nixon establishes the Office of Community Engagement within the Office of Administration. (Sept. 18)
Executive Order 12 – Gov. Jay Nixon declares a State of Emergency and activates the Missouri State Emergency Operation Plan in response to severe weather that began on September 9, 2014. (Oct. 22)
Executive Order 13 – Gov. Jay Nixon orders state offices to be closed on Friday, November 28, 2014. (Oct. 31)
Executive Order 14 – Gov. Jay Nixon declares a State of Emergency and activates the state militia in preparation of announcements of state and federal investigations of the death of Michael Brown. He further directs the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the St. Louis County Police Department, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department to operate as a Unified Command to protect civil rights and ensure public safety in the City of Ferguson and the St. Louis region. Executive Order 15 – Gov. Jay Nixon establishes and names appointees to the Ferguson Commission. (Nov. 18)
Executive Order 16 – Gov. Jay Nixon extends Executive Order 14-07 and orders that the Disparity Study Oversight Review Committee present its report to the Governor and Commissioner of Administration by January 31, 2015. (Dec. 24)
