EXECUTIVE ORDER
NO96-14
WHEREAS, Section 37.510 RSMo establishes a Juvenile Court Personnel Advisory Commission for the purpose of analyzing various aspects of juvenile court administration, particularly focusing on the juvenile court personnel system and detention units; and
WHEREAS, Section 37.510 RSMo provides that the Commission shall expire on July 1, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has been holding public meetings in furtherance of its statutory mission but has not yet completed its task or presented its report to the Governor; and
WHEREAS, the Commission desires additional time to complete its task and present its report to the Governor;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mel Carnahan, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, do hereby appoint the current members of the Commission to continue in their positions and order the Commission to continue with its charge beyond July 1, 1996, so that it may complete its public hearings, perform its analysis carefully, and deliver a thorough report and recommendations for my consideration, such work to be completed by December 31, 1996.
This Order shall expire on December 31, 1996, unless renewed by an Executive Order prior to that date.
