EXECUTIVE ORDER
93-22
WHEREAS, significant geographic areas of the State of Missouri have been ravaged by floods during the month of July 1993; and
WHEREAS, many citizens of the State of Missouri living in such flood areas have suffered great hardship and have been impaired in their ability to conduct normal activities, including by not limited to the regular registration of motor vehicles;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mel Carnahan, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, including the provisions of Chapter 44, RSMo 1986, do hereby issue this Executive Order, as follows:
For those citizens of the State of Missouri residing in the political subdivisions designated or ultimately designated on the President's Disaster Declarations for Individual Assistance or Public Assistance, the provision of Section 301.050, RSMo 1986, providing for payment of a penalty of five dollars for the delinquent registration of motor vehicles due in the month of July 1993 is hereby waived.
