EXECUTIVE ORDER
84-7
WHEREAS, I have been advised by the State Director, Emergency Management Agency, Office of the Adjutant General, that a natural disaster of major proportions has occurred in Gasconade County, Missouri on April 29, 1984; that injury to persons and damage to and loss of property has occurred as the result of a tornado, and that the safety, security and welfare of the inhabitants of this jurisdiction requires an invocation of the provisions of Section 44.100, RSMo 1978;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 44.100, RSMo 1978, do hereby declare that a state of emergency exists in the County of Gasconade, Missouri and that county is hereby declared to be a disaster area, and do hereby authorize that the approved Missouri Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief Plan be activated and do further authorize the use of such agencies, personnel and equipment of the State as may be necessary for the preservation of life, property and the restoration of public facilities in that county.
Furthermore, I do specifically authorize and order the Adjutant General, and the Department of Public Safety or their designees to utilize personnel and equipment of their respective agencies in support of local government as may be deemed appropriate under the circumstances during the period in which this order is effective.
This order shall terminate on June 15, 1984, unless extended in whole or in part.
