TO ALL DEPARTMENTS OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT OTHER THAN THOSE UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE PERSONNEL ADVISORY BOARD:
It is suggested that the following days in 1982 be observed as holidays in all departments of the state government to which this notice is applicable:

When it is impracticable to give time off to employees regularly scheduled to work on any of the above holidays because of the necessity of continuing essential services in a state institution or a department of the state government, the appointing authority shall require the employee to remain on duty and to perform his work, but shall grant the employee who has worked on a holiday equal compensatory time off from duty at such time or times as the appointing authority shall designate.
