EXECUTIVE ORDER

WHEREAS, the Missouri Council on Criminal Justice (MCCJ) was until recently a division of the Missouri Department of Public Safety; and,
WHEREAS, said division has now been duly dissolved as a result of the reorganization of the administrative structure of said department by the director of said department; and,
WHEREAS, the staff and functions of said division have now been absorbed by said department; and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, has required that an Executive Order be promulgated to effect the transfer of the Missouri agency designated to administer the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) of 1974, as amended in 1980,
NOW THEREFORE I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Missouri, do hereby declare that the Missouri Department of Public Safety shall from this day forward be designated as the state agency which shall have responsibility in this state for administering the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, in lieu of the Missouri Council on Criminal Justice, which council has heretofore been duly dissolved as set forth above.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the State Advisory Group shall operate as the Supervisory Board for the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, within and for the State of Missouri.
