PROCLAMATION
AND EXECUTIVE ORDER
81-6
WHEREAS, I have been advised by the State Director, Disaster Planning and Operations Office, Civil Defense, Office of the Adjutant General, that a natural disaster of major proportions has occurred in Atchison County, Missouri, that damage to and loss of property is imminent as the result of flash flooding that occurred April 10, 1981, and that the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of Atchison County require the invocation of the provisions of Section 44.100, RSMo 1978;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of authority vested in me by Section 44.100, RSMo 1978, do hereby declare that a state of emergency exists in Atchison County, Missouri, and that Atchison County is hereby declared to be a disaster area, and do hereby authorize that the approved Missouri Comprehensive Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Relief Plan be activated and do further authorize the use of such agencies personnel and equipment of the State as may be necessary for the preservation of life, property, and the restoration of public facilities in those counties.
