EXECUTIVE ORDER

WHEREAS, Colonel Herman A. Myers, XXX-XX-XXX, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Missouri Army National Guard, has completed over forty years of military service, filling over the years many key assignments and positions of great responsibility in the Missouri National Guard in a most exemplary manner, and
WHEREAS, Colonel Herman A. Myers will retire on 30 April 1981 in the grade of Colonel, to which grade he was promoted on 1 April 1968, and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 41.310 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, 1978, an officer who is retired after completion of fifteen years satisfactory service may be retired in one grade higher than the highest grade held during his period of active service, without cost to the State,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, and Commander in Chief of the Militia of this state, do hereby order that Colonel Herman A. Myers, XXX-XX-XXX, shall be promoted effective 1 May 1981, to the grade of Brigadier General, Missouri National Guard Retired List.
