Hoskins Sworn In as Missouri’s 41st Secretary of State
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Denny Hoskins was inaugurated as Missouri’s 41st Secretary of State on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City. The ceremony marked the beginning of Hoskins’ tenure in office and his commitment to serving the people of Missouri with integrity and dedication.
Hoskins, who was elected to the office in November 2024, took the oath of office in a ceremony attended by fellow Missourians, state officials, and colleagues on Monday, January 13. Hoskins was sworn in with his wife, Michelle, by his side. The oath was administered by Judge Thomas N. Chapman, Court of Appeals - Western District, of Chillicothe. As Missouri’s Secretary of State, Hoskins will oversee critical functions including elections, business services, and the protection of Missouri’s public records.
“I am honored and excited to begin this new chapter as secretary of state,” said Hoskins. “I look forward to working to ensure elections are secure, businesses thrive, and public records are accessible and protected. I remain committed to transparency, efficiency, and service as we move forward into this next phase of Missouri’s future.”
As secretary of state, Hoskins will prioritize ensuring the integrity and security of Missouri’s elections, making it easier for businesses to register and operate, and safeguarding the state’s public records for future generations. His office took on vital responsibilities in promoting transparency, strengthening Missouri’s democracy, and fostering a business-friendly environment to help the state grow and thrive.
