Approval Process

Safe at Home program staff review all submitted applications. Approved applicants are then certified as program participants for four years. The new participant will receive a letter verifying enrollment along with a personalized Safe at Home authorization card.

The Safe at Home program is required to respond to new applications within five business days of receipt. If an applicant has not heard from the Safe at Home office in a timely manner, the applicant should contact the Safe at Home staff at (866) 509-1409 to confirm the application was received.

The applicant is not permitted to use the Safe at Home substitute address until he or she receives the verification letter and authorization card.
