The Archives maintains a substantial photograph collection from the Little River Drainage District (LRDD). Many thousands of acres of swampland in Southeast Missouri were cleared and drained in order to convert them to agriculture in the early 1900s. These images depict that process.
- The LRDD photograph collection is available on our Missouri Digital Heritage website online here.
