1 Didier served as Treasurer for the Louisiana Territory from 1809-1812 and for the Missouri Territory from 1812-1820. He was re-appointed Treasurer, this time for the State of Missouri, in 1820 when the state’s first constitution was approved.
2 Baptismal date, as Jean Pierre Didier.
3 Elected by the General Assembly following Didier's resignation.
4 Elected by the General Assembly following the death of John Walker.
5 Appointed by Gov. King following the death of Peter Garland Glover.
6 Appointed by Provisional Gov. Gamble when Morrison refused to take a loyalty oath.
7 Gov. Francis suspended Noland on March 3, 1890, and Noland resigned a short time later.
8 Appointed by Gov. Francis following Noland's resignation.
9 Appointed by Gov. Donnelly upon the death of Robert William Winn.
10 Schmitt resigned January 3, 2019, after Gov. Parson appointed him Attorney General. On January 14, Parson appointed Fitzpatrick his replacement.
11 Fitzpatrick resigned after being elected State Auditor. Gov. Parson appointed Malek to the position on January 17, 2023.
