2016 Initiative Petitions Open for Public Comment
Public comment is currently open for the following initiative petitions. Note that the text of these petitions may not constitute the full and correct text as required under Section 116.050, RSMo. Before circulating a petition for signatures, state law requires that groups must first have the form of their petition approved by the secretary of state's office. The office then has 23 days after the form of the petition is approved to draft ballot summary language. During this time, the office will review all comments.
The comment period will be open for a minimum of 30 days. If you are interested in conveying your thoughts as to these initiative petitions, please contact the Secretary of State's office by:
