EXECUTIVE ORDER
94-30

WHEREAS, Executive Order 94-08 was issued January 28, 1994, establishing the Missouri Community Service Commission; and

WHEREAS, that Executive Order provided that the Commission would reside in the Office of Administration, but be directed through the Office of Lieutenant Governor; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to House Bill 1471, the General Assembly ratified the creation of the Missouri Community Service Commission and established it within the Office of the Governor, and provided that the Governor may, by Executive Order, assign the Commission to the office of any executive department or statewide elected official; and

WHEREAS, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor have jointly agreed that the Lieutenant Governor's office would be the most appropriate place for the Commission to reside;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mel Carnahan, Governor of the State of Missouri, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Missouri, do hereby assign the Missouri Community Service Commission, with all of its powers, duties and responsibilities, to the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Missouri. All other provisions of Executive Order 94-08 shall remain in force except to the extent superseded by House Bill 1471.
