EXECUTIVE ORDER
83-12

WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Elsberry, County of Lincoln, Missouri, has resolved that it is advisable and necessary that a special census be taken in the City of Elsberry inasmuch as there has been recent population variances in said City since the last preceding census; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Elsberry has requested that the Governor of the State of Missouri order a special census to be taken in said City; and

WHEREAS, a certified copy of the aforesaid resolution and request of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Elsberry, approved and certified by the City Clerk of the City of Elsberry on the 12th day of April, 1983, has been presented to the Governor of the State of Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, under the circumstances, the Governor of the State of Missouri is required by Section 71.160, RSMo 1978, to order a special census;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, do hereby order and direct:

That a special census be taken forthwith in the City of Elsberry, Missouri;

That Linda Korasick of the City of Elsberry be and hereby is appointed supervisor of said census;

That the census supervisor appoint such enumerators as may be necessary in taking said census;

That the supervisor and enumerators proceed immediately to take a census of the City of Elsberry for the sole purpose of determining the population of the City of Elsberry;

That the supervisor be compensated for her services at a rate of seven dollars and fifty cents for each day actually spent in the performance of her duties and that each enumerator be compensated at the rate of five dollars for each day actually spent in the performance of their duties and that the compensation of said supervisor and enumerators and all other expenses of the census be paid by the City of Elsberry.
