EXECUTIVE ORDER
82-6
WHEREAS, storm damage to power lines in the Kansas City area has created a condition of distress and hazard to public health and safety beyond the capabilities of local officials.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CHRISTOPHER S. BOND, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the constitution and laws of Missouri, hereby declare that a state of emergency exists in the Kansas City area, State of Missouri, and hereby order and direct the Missouri State Highway Patrol to assist in the emergency movement of electric utility vehicles from St. Louis to Kansas City to respond to severe power outages in the Kansas City area for the preservation of life and property.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF: I have hereunto set my hand and caused to be affixed the Great Seal of the State of Missouri in the City of Jefferson on this 11th day of June, 1982.
