Major Genl. D. Willock

            [Illegible] Detachment

                        Huntsville            Sir

                                                            I have the honor

to acknowledge the receipt of your communication

of the 10th Inst. from Huntsville.  From infor-

-mation received from Genl Clark who was placed

in command of all the troops raised in pursuance

of the late orders of the Executive, there will not be

any necessity for your proceeding any further.  You

will therefore return with your troops and discharge

them.  The Quarter Master of the detachment

will purchase and grant certificates to the person

of whom he purchases for such provision as you

may need.  You will however, endeavor to make

out with as small a quantity as possible.

You will please present my thanks

to the Troops under your command for their

promptness in marching to the call of their

Country.

                                    Respectfully,
