Kander Bars St. Louis Attorney from Doing Business in Missouri
Jefferson City, Mo. — Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander today announced that his office has ordered Lisa D. Krempasky of St. Louis and her associates to stop selling investments in Missouri and suspended her license to practice law for three years. The Securities Division of Kander’s office found that Krempasky was involved in a real estate investment scheme that sold unregistered investments to Missourians. Krempasky was not registered to sell investments in Missouri.
"My office will not tolerate fraudulent business dealings in Missouri," Kander said. "I encourage Missourians to call my office prior to turning over their hard-earned savings to confirm that both the person offering the investment and the investment being sold are registered."
According to the consent order issued by Kander’s office, Krempasky must pay a total of $5,000 in restitution. She is barred from registering as a broker-dealer agent or investment advisor representative in the state of Missouri. She is also suspended from the practice of law for three years. Should Krempasky or her employees violate the terms of the consent order, they will be subject to a civil penalty of $10,000.
