Missouri Judicial Index Database
The Judicial Index database provides an index and abstract of selected civil, criminal and probate court cases from county courts to the Supreme Court. Through this database researchers are now able to gain insights to daily life through county court records or follow a court case from the county level all the way up to the Supreme Court.
Judicial records tell the story of individuals and businesses throughout Missouri history. These records identify the people, places, and events surrounding minor disputes as well as major events that have shaped Missouri history.
Missouri has a rich and extensive judicial history. Projects to index and abstract court cases are ongoing throughout Missouri. Additional records will be added to this database as projects are completed.

Please note this database is an index to assist researchers in locating records. To request copies of records, please email the citation for the record you want to the Missouri State Archives at firstname.lastname@example.org. The record will be located, the number of pages counted, and you will be notified by email of the cost of the copies. Upon receipt of a check, the copies will be made and mailed to you. This is an ongoing indexing project. Additional indexes will be added to the database as they become available.
